The City of Ann Arbor is offering Barracuda Networks a five-year tax abatement under PA 198 which is estimated to be valued at $85,150. The Michigan Economic Development Corporation is offering up to $1.2 million in funding from the Michigan Business Development Program. ?The expansion of Barracuda Networks demonstrates the importance of our strategy to help companies grow and flourish,? said Governor Rick Snyder. ?This investment highlights the value of Michigan?s highly competitive business climate and incredible workforce abilities for cutting-edge companies looking to expand.? Over the last few years, Barracuda Networks has been working with Ann Arbor SPARK to connect with the deep pool of talent in the region. Since that time, Barracuda Networks has grown aggressively. The IT Security company has 172 employees in Michigan. Barracuda Networks expects to move into the new location later this year. To support its expansion, the company is hiring a number of positions including software engineers, user experience designers, quality assurance talent, systems administrators, and help technicians.
