I played the Wii once with my daughter and as usual, I suck at video games, and yes more so with the motion type. Not bashing you because I admit that I do it too (a lack of theory of mind), but many won't be able to answer this because they might not know what some of the choices are. By posting those specific choices, you are assuming everyone knows what they are. Dr. Grandin in a tearing hurry, perhaps??? I hate ALL video games, not just Wii Sports Resort (though I did stop playing altogether when the 64-bit graphics came out, as the 3D view makes me motion sick). I'm terrible at hand claps-- DD11 loves them; I always remember the ditties but cannot keep up with the movements. We still have fun with them though-- I learned during my time as an afterschool volunteer that the whole point is to laugh at yourselves when you find yourself out of time and tripping over yourself, NOT to be the last one clapping as previously thought. I think the Cha Cha Slide is some kind of dance. The only way I dance is 1) Drunk on some romantic occasion where it's expected, or 2) With a broom, to maudlin bluegrass music, as I sweep the floor. Which I do daily. I LOVE board games. I do not typically win-- DH is a strategy whiz and wins 9 times out of 10-- but we all enjoy the sh** out of board games. They are the #1 indoor past time around here, for a reason. You know-- When you suck at something and you have to do it anyway (unless you're getting paid, in which case you need to find something else to get paid for), or want to do it anyway, or the people you are with want to do it anyway, LAUGH AT YOURSELF. Not meanly, but-- it makes sucking a lot more fun. _________________ I'm tired. I do not have sufficient strength remaining to persevere in the face of adversity. I got really confused when I did clapping games at school, and when I tried the Knife Song (with a pen). Temple Run I love Temple Run. Have no problems with that. Board games Fine with board games. I'm not too keen on them because they're boring. I don't really have any problems with them. Wii Sports Resort Don't own a Wii, never played that game. I have played Just Dance at a friend's house, but was fine with that. The "Cha Cha Slide" Never done it before. I think it's some sort of dance, and I'm fine with dancing. It's not my cup of tea, but I don't experience difficulty. So, I only experience difficulty with one of these, and that's hand games. _________________ I'm sailing across Spectrum Sea, in my little boat. The waters of the port were choppy. I love Monopoly, but the only part I struggled with was the money. It seemed to involve a lot of maths. Well, even if it doesn't seem like a lot, it is to me because I suck at maths, to a fault. I don't think my AS really gets in the way of many activities really. I am not very good at bowling, I always seem to come last, but is it because I don't go bowling that often? Would I be better at it if I got more practice? Or is bowling just not my thing? I've never been good at team sports like playing Rounders at school. I just never really got the point of the game. But it might also be from shyness and social phobia, because I used to feel quite uncomfortable when it was my go to bat, because I was in the spotlight and kids got nasty if you are too slow or something, and then I feared of being humiliated. Plus the rules were so complex, I didn't know if it was a ball or no ball, and some people yelled out ''ball! Run!'' and others yelled out, ''no, stay there!'' I liked soccer and volleyball but was terrible at them and gave them up by the time I was in Jr High. I get intensely perfectionistic about having right technique so as I got into teen years I just gave up learning things that interested me but that I couldn't be instantly good at. The video games back then I was ok. And there were a couple I played. But today's video games it's comical to watch me play. I work with kids on the spectrum though and many of them are really good at these games, including the wii sports ones that they play although they tend to prefer other games like Minecraft or Lego movie theme games etc. I am a good dancer and dance is a special interest of mine. I'm not the most technical dancer and for complex new steps I need to be shown all angles and both sides. Plus if I get too into perfect technique I have a tough time but if I can let that go I have natural talent for being an expressive dancer. But many board games are, well boring. No matter how many different versions of Monopoly there are I cannot see myself enjoying ANY of them. it's the more "wacky" type games I personally enjoy. -Sports? Yeah right. -Temple run? What's that? -I am frequently nervous or embarrassed to directly talk or interact with other people in an online game using free chat. I'm so sensitive to anything negative or nasty someone might say to me that just seeing it may cause my head to burst into flames! Like for example in this one game I once played called HABBO I start playing to discover a couple of male players in my room. All I said was, "Oh hi" and they called me the b-word and left. I also stopped playing because there was so much nasty, gross, vulgar dialogue between other players. Yes, I am Amish. -I am sorry to say, that while I may always love video games, I have recently lost interest in playing any of the newer console stuff. New consoles and games are too expensive, and they "retire" in only a few years or until the next thing comes along, and that's if they're actually successful. -When it comes to my favorite "non-active activities" that I can do alone (crafting, drawing, writing, reading), I believe my AS helps me rather than gets me in the way of doing them. In fact, once I really get into them I tend to tune out everything else and it's like I'm in my own world and I almost forget everything else...

But any sport that require more than 1 person. cant concentrate. Its the same reason i workout at home. I cant even go for a jog because if i just encounter another person on the freaking sidewalk, thats enough to ruin by focus. its hard enough to excercise in itself. without focus and distractions, no way.

Temple run is the type of game I can only do for a very limited time before I feel exhausted. I like more relaxing games. I haven't actually played Wii Sports Resort but I hated Wii Sports because I hate those controls. If I wanted to play tennis and whatnot that way, I'd just sign up to a tennis club. Blech. The Cha Cha slide looks hopeless, I'm no good with that kind of thing. I often find it hard to read the rules of board games. I find directions hard to get from reading them, but most board games are easy when you actually play them. So I usually just read quickly and learn as we go.
